The Landmarks Foundation was founded in 1997 to conserve sacred sites and landscape around the world. Whether locations in current use today or relics left by vanished ancestors, these sacred places are tangible and sometimes intangible focal points for the beliefs, rituals and religions that define human societies. 

ICOMOS is an international non-governmental organization of professionals, dedicated to the conservation of the world's historic monuments and sites. ICOMOS provides a forum for professional dialogue and a vehicle for the collection, evaluation, and dissemination of information on conservation principles, techniques, and policies..

World Monuments Fund (WMF). From its headquarters in New York, and working with affiliates and offices in France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom, as well as with partners around the world, WMF brings together public and private resources to carry out a comprehensive conservation program of fieldwork, advocacy, grant-making, and education and training.

The Global Heritage Fund's mission is to enable successful long-term preservation of mankind's most important Global Heritage cultural sites in developing countries with acute pressures and without resources for preservation and planned development.  Over 90% of GHF funding goes directly to on-site preservation and planned development projects backed by the long-term support of local communities.
